About
Welcome to Twede's Cafe, a beloved gem nestled in the heart of North Bend, Washington, at 137 W North Bend Way. As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I am thrilled to introduce you to this iconic diner that pairs nostalgia with delectable dishes. Known for its homage to the cult classic TV show "Twin Peaks," Twede's Cafe has become a must-visit destination for fans and food lovers alike.
When you step inside, the retro vibe instantly captivates you, enhanced by friendly staff ready to accommodate your needs. The café is a treasure trove of memorabilia, offering unique Twin Peaks souvenirs alongside a menu that tantalizes the senses. The fragrant aroma of a Damn Fine Cup of Coffee, priced at just $2.49, beckons you to indulge as you settle in.
The food at Twede's is the real star. Customer favorites like the French Toast start as an incredible value at $7.99 for two pieces, and only get better from there, with mouthwatering options that make your breakfast truly special. But I must highlight one standout dish: the colossal Cinnamon Roll. Described by satisfied patrons as the best they've ever had, it features fluffy layers of cinnamon sugar, drizzled with a perfect cream cheese frosting that strikes a delightful balance between sweet and tangy.
If savory options are what you're after, you won't be disappointed. Consider trying their unique Thai Peanut Burger—a flavorful twist that makes for a satisfying meal. Diners have praised the impressive portion sizes, ensuring you're never left wanting. Plus, the famous Twin Peaks Cherry Pie is a must-try, rumored to be the best in town. Available for $6.99, it’s a slice of heaven for any dessert lover.
The cafe's charm doesn’t stop at the food. The atmosphere is filled with warmth, making it a perfect spot for group outings, as noted by patrons who appreciated the quick and friendly service. Expect a wait during peak times, but the experience is well worth it. Twede's Cafe not only pays homage to its Twin Peaks roots but also captures the essence of a classic diner where memories are made over coffee and pancakes. This North Bend staple is a celebration of great food, community, and fandom.
So whether you’re a Twin Peaks enthusiast or just looking for a hearty meal in a nostalgic setting, Twede's Cafe is a culinary journey you won't want to miss.
“ I went with some friends who are Twin Peaks fans, but I came away a fan of Twede’s. The food is delicious and the portions are HUGE. I’ve never seen pancakes so big! I had the Thai peanut burger which was different and interesting and tasty. The true standout was cinnamon roll. It is like everything else, HUGE, but also has fluffy layers filled with cinnamon sugar, and the drizzle of cream cheese frosting is just the right sweet and tangy to bring everything together. It is honestly the best cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. ”
“ Love the vibe in there! All the staff are super nice and accommodating. They fit my big group at a short notice and the food was fast, filling, and reasonably priced. Iconic retro diner! ”
“ If you’re a Twin Peaks fan, you will love to see all the little tid bits. Classic diner feel, with large portions. There are also some Twin Peaks souvenirs- hats, shirts, mugs, coffee... etc It is a small place with limited seating, so expect a wait if going on weekend or holiday. ”
“ My gf insisted we visit here as I had never heard of the show that references this restaurant. Despite this I enjoyed my experience! Delicious shakes, tasty food and great service all in a clean and well organized environment. The nods to the show are there but the restaurant easily stands on its own character. Highly recommended! ”
“ As a diehard Twin Peaks fan, visiting “The Double R” was magical. Not only is the coffee damn fine and hot, the cherry pie really is out of this world. Seriously. Best I’ve ever had. So was the tuna salad on toasted wholewheat and the daily homemade soups. If I lived in the greater Seattle area, I’d be there weekly. That’s how at home the friendly staff makes you feel. Also wonderful how they fully embrace the world of Twin Peaks, honor the fans, and pay beautiful homage to the history of the show and the diner itself. What a treat! Twede’s was beyond everything I’d imagined it would be. A North Bend staple and cherished gem. Kudos to the owners and team for their hard work and efforts. It’s seen and appreciated. ”
“ As a longtime Twin Peaks fan, visiting Twede’s Cafe was a bucket list moment. The food was amazing. Classic diner comfort food with generous portions. I had a fish burger and it was delicious. It’s definitely on the pricier side for a diner, so not somewhere I’d eat every day, but 100% worth it for the atmosphere and experience. They also have a bunch of merch items to purchase at the counter. The staff checked in regularly and were all really kind. The only thing that I think they could improve on is the cleanliness of the bathrooms. Whether you’re a Twin Peaks fan or just passing through, Twede’s is a must-do at least once. And yes, the cherry pie and damn fine coffee really do live up to the legend. ”
“ So obviously, not everyone is coming here because they're a Twin Peaks fan. But if you are one, you DEFINITELY need to stop in. If you aren't that's fine, because this place is also just an amazing diner. However my one warning is.... the Mixes are truly massive. I thought the Hot Links and Jalapeno would be good after the Waitress recommendation, and it was! But, it was enough food for 2 or 3 people! The guy next to me said "Whoa! Good luck with that!" it was so big. Now, it ended up being a good thing, because I got it in a box and didn't need to buy any other food the rest of the day (I actually wasn't hungry for breakfast in the morning, either) so it's kinda a bargain in that regard, and it was absolutely DELICIOUS. The reason it's a warning is: You NOT have stomach room for pie, which was my one regret. ”
“ My dad and I are huge Twin Peaks fans, and we had a great time eating breakfast at Twede’s! The exterior was under some construction when we arrived, and I have high hopes it’s going to look even better when it’s finished. We ordered French toast, pancakes, and corned beef hash. My dad said the corned beef hash was one of the best he’s ever had. The pancakes are HUGE, and we were warned before we ordered, but I didn’t expect them to be as big as they were . We didn’t get the cherry pie or damn fine coffee, but we did get a few postcards and other souvenirs available on their counter for purchase. Additionally, they have a small display case of memorabilia and photos along the corridor to the restrooms. All in all, great breakfast and a fun stop for fans! ”
